Do you want ice cream right now but don’t want the calories?
Just when you want something creamy, refreshing and good for you.
Here’s what you need:
*4 Bananas ripe but not completely brown and mushy
*Food Processor or strong blender
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Dice your bananas small and then place in a Ziploc bag in the freezer over night
2. Take bananas out of freezer the next day and place in a food processor/blender
3. Let it sit for about 2 min. ( just enough for it to slightly soften)
4. Pulse until you get a nice creamy consistency ( you will need to stir with a spoon occasionally to get it from sticking to the sides) – at this point you can add a scoop of peanut butter/jelly to the food processor and then pulse just a couple of times to incorporate but not too much so you can just see it swirled in.
Now you got yourself a nice and healthy ice cream that you can enjoy anytime.
I’d like to try and change it up a bit by adding maybe cocoa powder to make chocolate? or how about adding mint extract and adding shredded dark chocolate to make mint chocolate chip “ice cream”
